This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as the first! The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The area is very quiet, which made it even more peaceful, and we especially loved how close it is to Goss Moor Nature Reserve — the perfect spot for a walk, with or without a dog. We brought our dog along and really appreciated how secure the garden is. We had such a lovely time and are already hoping to come back again soon. Highly recommend!

I booked this little get away for my husbands birthday. We have busy work lives so our stays are always about getting away from everything and enjoying peace and quiet, where we can bring the dogs too.
Emma’s place was so cute and just what we needed for some down time!
The secure garden is perfect for the dogs, not once did I have to worry they could get out. The fire pit was such a nice touch and we would have loved to use it had the wind not been quite so strong during our stay! But this would be so lovely sat outside of an evening.
The area itself is very quiet with Goss Moor just around the corner so great for walking with your dogs! Ours loved exploring!
The place itself was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfortable.
There is a gas hob and microwave oven, you have a boiler so lots of nice hot water with a great shower too.
I would definitely return again, Emma was really helpful answering any questions we had promptly!

Wow! What a fabulous place to stay. An amazing secluded and quiet location. 'New Dawn' is one of the best ... actually THE best hut we have ever stayed in. The decor is perfect, giving a tranquil atmosphere. Everything we needed was available and the homely touches on arrival was so lovely. The secure garden for Winnie, our 'Huskador' (Husky X Lab) was just perfect and she had so much fun just exploring every inch of the garden. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will take pleasure recommending 'New Dawn' to everyone. Thank you xx

Wow, what can I say ~ New Dawn Shepherds Hut & Location everything & even more then we could have asked for. Alongside the most idyllic, pup friendly, home from home retreat, Emma was an exceptional host. So lovely, friendly and helpful. New Dawn was so incredibly well thought out, from the little touches, the cider & biscuits on arrival, even gravy bones for our pooch! Down to all facilities and amenities. Spotlessly clean, a bed like a cloud & a beautiful garden to make memories & let your dog run free. we made full use of the bbq / fire pit with everything we needed on site. I am fussy! And I don't often write reviews but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Emma's lovely shepherd's hut to anyone. Immaculate, roomy, great shower & everything you should need. We were incredibly sad to leave this morning and cannot wait to return. Thankyou Emma! x

We had an absolutely wonderful 9-night stay at this beautiful hut in Cornwall! The property was not only stunning but also perfect for our dog Dobby, who loved the freedom to run around the secure, fenced garden without any worries. The hut was spotless, with fresh bedding and towels provided, which made everything feel extra comfortable. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the small bottle of washing-up liquid and a sponge—everything was so well-equipped. The internet worked perfectly, and we were able to connect our phones to Netflix on the TV, which was a great bonus for cozy evenings. Being within walking distance of Goss Moor National Nature Reserve was fantastic, and we loved walking our dog there daily. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit—it made the stay even more magical. We wish we had booked for longer! Thank you for providing such a lovely, peaceful retreat—we can’t wait to return.

Well what an absolute gem of a place Emma has! If you’re thinking about it - book it, it’s the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in with our dog and toddler. The enclosed garden makes it super safe for them to run around in, it’s so peaceful at night we enjoyed sitting outside looking at the stars with the fire pit lit - just bliss 🔥 The hut itself is much more spacious than the photos show (our travel cot fit in no problem with space around it) and the bed is ginormous! It felt so homely and the welcome cakes were such a lovely treat! Emma had our Jasper for the day so we could go out too - such a bonus. Dog owners get booking 😊 and if you’re looking for an activity do the camel trail 🚲

An absolutely gorgeous little place. The shepherds hut was lovely with everything we needed plus extra for our stay. It's small but that's part of it's charm. The bed was very comfortable, books, games there to use plus the internet and TV. I shared with my 11 year old daughter and 8 month labrador, and it was perfect for us!
Location is brilliant being central for exploring both coasts or just going for country walks. The outside space was brilliant! Totally privately fenced in and very large beautiful dog, very secure garden with table, chairs, loungers, fire pit, giant jenga and even spare wellies if needed.
Having the doggy day care next door was brilliant as we booked our 8 month old pup in for a few dog free days. Having never left her before I was worried how she would cope but she had an absolute whale of a time and Emma (the owner) is so friendly and good with the dogs and very helpful. My dog even sat waiting by the side entrance to the day care hoping to go back on the day we were leaving! Made for such a relaxing holiday, knowing she was being well cared for and enjoying herself (plenty of pics sent) while we could explore dog free options and collect her for evening cuddles once back at the hut.
Very private, quiet and not overlooked. The milk, tea and coffee and 2 pieces of cake were most welcome after our long drive there also, many many thanks for a lovely stay.
