Day care and overnight boarding at New Dawn is ideal for social dogs, that enjoy the company of people and other dogs.
For both day and overnight services, you must meet with us first so we can have a general chat about your dog and get to know them. If your dog likes us, they will be invited for a 4 or 24 hour trial stay at a convenient time. This way, we can ensure they will be a safe, happy new member of our extended family. Day care package starts as a half day, which is 4 hours of care (includes a walk) for £20

Overnight boarding (24hrs)
- 24hr boarding - £45
- If your pick up time is outside of the 24hrs, we charge £4 per extra hour
- 15% discount is applied for 5+ continuous 24hrs (daily rate reduced to £38.25)
- We offer a 50% discount for a second dog from the same household
If you want the very best for your dog, then our overnight boarding / day care option is for you. Your dog will certainly be thrilled to see you when you return, but dogs who stay with us are having too much fun on their own vacation to worry while you are gone. They will have the company of other dogs (but not too many - maximum of 6 at a time), lots of comfortable places to nap, and of course lots of time hanging out with us!
Whatever the weather, they can play in the fenced back yard, sun themselves on the deck or chill out in the courtyard or if they're not the outdoor type on a cold winters day, they can snuggle up by the log burner or find themselves a comfy corner, couch or bed to watch TV or listen to the radio.
We head out for a minimum of two 20 minute walks a day (or one 40-60 minute walk) - depending on your dogs energy levels, and take them to our (tried and tested) best places for them to roam free, if it is safe to do so.

What happens next?
In brief
- Once we've received your inquiry and we can confirm we have availability on the dates you need, we will be in touch (usually via email) and you will be invited to complete our online client registration form to tell us more information about your dog(s).
- Once we've received your registration form, we will be in touch to invite you to meet us.
- If the meet and greet goes well and you would like to use our services, you will be asked to complete some consent forms and provide your dogs medical history.
- If you are returning customer, you will be asked to complete a booking form to check and confirm all your details are up to date we have for you on record and your dog's vaccinations and parasite treatments are all still up to date.
- Once we have received the forms back, we will email your booking confirmation and request a 20% deposit to secure the booking.
Drop off and pick up times
I try to be as flexible as possible to be available for your preferred drop off and pick up times, because I know how important it is for you to be reunited with your dog as soon as you can. Boarding is charged per 24 hours. If your pickup time goes outside the 24 hours, an extra £3.50 (per hour) will be added to your invoice. There is the option of adding day care to your booking but this must be booked in advance.

I try to leave a break for myself over lunchtime, but do feel you can ask if you need to do a drop off / pick up during this period.

When considering any day care or boarding service for your dog, be sure to check they are licensed. A licensed provider has to undergo a full inspection process to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, policies and ability to provide safe care for your dog.
