When we arrived at Emma’s property, we instantly fell in love! The shepherds hut was clean, had all the essentials, and even a couple of extras that were perfect after a long journey. It was much more spacious than the photos seem to show, and the big secure, open garden was perfect for our dog, Millie! The whole area was completely private and really felt like it was our own space to completely switch off. Emma has been amazing before the stay at answering any questions and giving us some great recommendations, and through our stay, even popping over to give us some more fire lighters after we had a failed first attempt to light the fire pit! She was always on hand if we needed anything, without being intrusive, and she had left a really helpful guide in the property, too. The location was also perfect with popular areas being around 20-30 minutes drive (A car is a must). We can’t wait to book our next visit!
Emma helped me at a very difficult time in my life. I had a nervous rescue dog and was dealing with the terminal illness of a close family member. I really feel she saved my sanity with her sympathy, wise words and calm support. She reduced my anxiety and was proactive in helping with rehoming. She's like a stick of rock with the words KIND TO PEOPLE AND DOGS running through it. I can recommend her without the slightest hesitation. |

Wow, what a find! We wanted to extend our holiday in Cornwall, and stumbled across this newly listed shepherds hut hosted by Emma. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and a quick tour of everything meant we settled in super quick. The attention to detail Emma has put in, to making this shepherds hut so perfect in every way, just kept a smile on our faces the whole time we were there. The pictures don’t do it justice of how wonderful and idyllic the space she has created is. You can truly shut off from the world here in the garden, and relax. Would recommend to ANYONE who wants to experience a shepherds hut vacation, you will not be disappointed!!

Emma is absolutely amazing! We left our 6 month pup, Maverick for the first time for 2 nights. We were nervous about how he would get on, but after staying with Emma he didn’t want to come home! We could not recommend her enough, the icing on the cake was having a surprise paw print made by Maverick. It’s these little details that just prove how passionate Emma is about her job. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Emma is the best dog walker we’ve ever had! She’s always on time, our dog adores her, she takes them on amazing walks, always dries and cleans them up afterwards, and she genuinely cares about the group she takes out. If I could give her 6 stars I would! |

"Words cannot describe how wonderful and professional Emma is. Having a rescue dog means there are many different aspects to take into account - on top of owner anxiety. Emma is kind, caring and has a genuine love and passion for dogs with a real insight to how a rescue dog may feel, behave and react. Dookie is so excited when I mention Emma, Charlie and Obi’s name and he’s so happy and relaxed on arrival, his stay and coming home. The photos and updates put my mind at rest and it’s been a real breakthrough for him to make k9 friends. There's nowhere my boys would rather go than over to Emma. She loves them like her own, and they have the best time with her. They go on amazing walks, have the most fun and get loads of love and cuddles! I know when they're there I never have to worry and they are cared for and looked after so well. By far the best pooch service around. |

I was really worried about leaving Alfie with a stranger while we went away for 2 weeks. We got him in lockdown, so through no fault of his own he was completely unused to being left with anyone else. I had approached a couple of boarding places but wasn't happy at all with either. However as soon as we met Emma I knew Alfie would be in good hands. He was treated like one of the family and we received daily pics and videos of him having an amazing time which meant that I could have an amazing time too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Emma to any of my friends and Alfie will definitely be returning to stay with her and the crew in future. Thank you so much Emma. You're amazing. |
Thank you so much for looking after Coco at short notice. The house was perfectly set up for dog boarding a large safe garden. As soon as we met Emma we knew Coco was in safe hands. The daily picture updates were great and when we picked her up and was very relaxed and wasn’t that excited to see us! Would recommend and use again. |

I am so thrilled that my humans have found New Dawn. I love it there! I have lots of lovely walks, loads of play time with other doggie chums, and then oodles of cuddles and fuss! I sleep very well when I'm there, and am made to feel exactly like one of the family. Can't wait for my next sleepover!! |
My two fretful rejoined girls have just returned from a stay with the lovely Emma. I can honestly say she is amazing!!!!! They obviously felt relaxed and so at ease…Emma sent me messages all day and lots of beautiful pictures to keep (an excellent photographer as well!). This made our trip a relaxing and worry free one (which I wasn’t expecting). I want to thank her with all my heart for looking after them so well. I will be recommending her far and wide!!!!! I won’t hesitate to let them stay again when needed. |

"We can not put into words how happy we are to have found Emma. We had looked at and visited other daycare and boarding options before we discovered New Dawn. Emma couldn’t have been more welcoming on our first meeting and allowed our dog time to adjust to her house and surroundings, greeting him so kindly and gently on his terms. We knew straight away that we had found someone special who would take care of our dog and nurture him whilst he was with her. It’s clear how deeply Emma cares for all the dogs she works with and how much she enjoys being around them.
On what was a potentially very anxious handover on the first day, Emma was fantastic. She was reassuring to us and our dog. It wasn’t rushed and everything was very calm. Emma sent us photos and videos with messages about how it was all going as the day went on, and seeing all of these updates filled us with complete joy, being able to see just how happy and comfortable our dog was. We can not recommend Emma highly enough. She has a wealth of knowledge, is non-judgmental, so kind and gentle, and provides an outstanding service with the dogs at the very heart of everything. We feel very lucky to have found Emma and know that our dog will benefit from every moment he’s in her care." |
My dogs seemed so happy and relaxed with Emma! It was a perfect place to be leaving them whilst I went away for the weekend and I felt instantly comfortable with Emma and knew she would treat them as her own. Emma sent me photos throughout their time with her and took them out for early and late walks because of the heat. I was super impressed and would absolutely recommend New Dawn to anyone who loves their dog and wants them to have a lovely holiday! Thank you so much Emma. |

"Wow wow wow, Emma you are truly magnificent. Blue stayed with Emma twice during our week long holiday and I just cannot thank her enough. I felt instantly comfortable about leaving my fur baby with Emma and he too, loved playing in her incredible garden, seemed relaxed almost instantly and he loved making new friends with Emma's stunning woofers. Emma sent regular updates and photos and I just knew he was having a blast! Not only would I highly recommend Emma, but I can hand on heart say “what a woman”. Thank you for being you! "We had a wonderful experience with New Dawn. Emma is so welcoming and knowledgeable and we would not use anyone else when we are in the area for our holidays. It was the first time we had left our 11 month old golden retriever with anyone outside of family so we were a bit apprehensive, but it all worked out beautifully. Emma sent us regular updates and photos of our boy playing with her 2 friendly dogs so our minds were completely at ease. It was during the very warm weather as well so Emma made sure they got plenty of time in the water to cool off which was fantastic. Our boy was very tired when he came home and clearly had a super fun day. 100% recommend New Dawn services to anyone looking for some doggy day care."
